I can add the topic preview function as code tag, but it would be a feature that some users don't like so the community should decide if it gets added permanently.

Selecting long codes manually is pretty uncomfortable, especially on the little displays.

It'd be better if there'd be no [Expand/Collapse] button, but instead the whole 'code' tag header's background would do that.

I don't think so. It's nice if you know how it works, but maybe newbies won't know how to expand the boxes if there is no visible button.
