Fixing forum listing on search engines

03 Jan 2017, 21:15

I Googled and Binged "autohotkey forums" and this was the result on both:

The primary link "Forums - AutoHotkey" leads to the archived forums, and the sub item under it, "AutoHotkey Community", leads to the active forums (these). It seems more appropriate for "Forums - AutoHotkey" to point to these forums rather than the old ones. Is this something that can be fixed by changing some page metadata on AutoHotkey's end?

We know of this problem. The archived forums is being registered over the current one...
The easiest way would be to rename autohotkey.com/board to autohotkey.com/boardarchive or something like that.
However, that would break all current google linked search/page results that are currently indexed :(
