Subscribe a topic without getting mails?

Is there any option to subscribe a topic, without getting emails? I usually use this "http://ahkscript.org/boards/ucp.php?i=m ... subscribed" page looking for new answers and don't want the mails. Otherwise I may use an unused mail account...

hmmm... it seems that phpbb3 has "subscribe" being synonomous with "send me email notifications of replies"
another option without me modifying the forum code (i am willing to explore it)

and use the bookmark link at the top of each thread. I personally dislike that but i like the emails so i never considered it before now as an issue. I can easily see how it could get annoying.

Ok, that is at least a solution. I think, the bookmark is enough to me.
