The forums captcha control displays an upgrade note [v1 > v2] instead of whatever expected input pattern.
Please fix this ASAP! Thx :)

this canbe achieved with an upgrade to phpbb 3.2+, but I remember tank saying suhosin not being supported on php7 yet..
https://www.phpbb.com/about/launch/
in dev suhosin: https://github.com/sektioneins/suhosin7

I thought we also said that version of the board would work on 5.6

It only happens every once in a while, if you then press the reload button (top of the three blue recaptcha buttons) it shows a captcha so it is not "urgent" as such although you have to press reload to "bypass" the error. Perhaps a short note saying "press reload" should be added to the confirmation code text on the right side of the captcha.

You now get a date in the warning box saying March 31st, reloading/refreshing does still work

If you google "google recaptcha march 31st" you will find news stories about it so apparently it will stop working and you need to upgrade. You don't get the warning each time, seems random perhaps 1 in 10 times. If you then refresh it (blue recaptcha refresh button) you get the normal images.

This can be remedied with the new phpbb update. We should get in on this before March 31, 2018.

I can do it, I’m just wondering if there’s anything, procedure or things you need to change before hand. I could this possibly Sunday or Monday night.

it says 'V1 SHUTDOWN ON 2018-03-31'' and on the next line "Direct site owners to g.co/recaptcha/upgrade'

On that site it says:

What happens to reCAPTCHA v1?
Any calls to the v1 API will not work after March 31, 2018. Starting in November 2017, a percentage of reCAPTCHA v1 traffic will begin to show a notice informing users that the old API will soon be retired.
Most websites around the world have already switched to reCAPTCHA v2, where humans pass effortlessly. With our advanced risk analysis engine, reCAPTCHA v2 can effectively separate humans from bots and always stay ahead of the attackers.
If your site still uses reCAPTCHA v1, please upgrade to reCAPTCHA v2 immediately. We no longer support reCAPTCHA v1. Any calls to the v1 API will not work after March 31, 2018. Please register a new key and upgrade to v2.

And it's the 30th..., so don't expect any protection or posts after today then eh.

Mind you, I hate recaptcha with a passion due to its issues, so It's OK with me I guess :)

I have turned recaptcha off, it's now on the basic option.
