ListView Search, keep icon and text while hiding (?)

So, let's get this one out of the way, I've look in the forums plenty of times, I've tried many different versions, but none work.

My problem is, I want to use a search system to remove all of the other items in it besides what the user searches for.
Keep in mind I want to keep the icon if the user deletes anything in the edit control.
And I'm only using one column.

My primary question is, Is there a search script or label or function to help me with this?
My secondary question would be, How can I detect what icon is being used in a row.
