Hi *.*,
Is there a reason why the offline Help file does not contain all the information found in the online Help? Eg. the documentation for TrayTip in the offline Help file does not contain any of the Windows 10 related tips (which would have saved me some googling today). Can we please include such (all?) relevant information in the offline Help file?
Thank you.
Update Help file with online help information

Probably just an oops by one of the volunteers, although it's the first time I have ever noticed a diff between the two. Bad luck - or good catch!

Re: Update Help file with online help information
What do you think happens to the CHM file on your hard drive when the online documentation is updated?
Nothing, of course. It's offline. The last AutoHotkey release was about 6 weeks ago. You can see for yourself what's changed in the documentation since then.
Every release comes with a CHM file built automatically from the same source files as the online documentation.

Re: Update Help file with online help information
lexikos,
Thank you for the explanation. Seeing that the NoIcon / Icon workaround has been known for more than a year now I simply thought it was ommited from the offline help file for some reason. If there was a "View history" link on the online help page I would have checked it. I admit, it never occured to me to scour the AHK commit history.

It was an honest question, no need to be snarky. What do you think happens to the CHM file on your hard drive when the online documentation is updated?

Not that much snark IMO. And be honest, it was a pretty dumb question. I LOL'd.TheHacker wrote:It was an honest question, no need to be snarky.
No shame in asking dumb questions though
