When you use imagesearch command, Can you set a range to search image in the shape of ◇ rather than a rectangular shape?
if you can, i hope you let me know that

You can search a rectangle that envelopes your shape and then check the coordinates of what it finds to see if it's within your shape or not.

What I am curious about is whther you can set the shape of a search area to a different shape than a rectangle

I know. I gave you an approach to accomplish the same thing since you can't do it directly. I thought that was implied in my answer.

umm..I understand what you mean but what you say is not meaningful to me because It is a situation that should not be able to search images outside the range of my figure.

Why? What's wrong with searching there if it then ignores results outside of your range and only returns a match inside your range? It's basically building a function that accomplishes what you want. Why would you care if the process includes finding and rejecting image matches until it finds one in the range?
