The shape of a section to search image
Re: The shape of a section to search image
You can search a rectangle that envelopes your shape and then check the coordinates of what it finds to see if it's within your shape or not.
Re: The shape of a section to search image
No my question is not that
What I am curious about is whther you can set the shape of a search area to a different shape than a rectangle

Re: The shape of a section to search image
I know. I gave you an approach to accomplish the same thing since you can't do it directly. I thought that was implied in my answer.
Re: The shape of a section to search image
umm..I understand what you mean but what you say is not meaningful to me because It is a situation that should not be able to search images outside the range of my figure.
Re: The shape of a section to search image
Why? What's wrong with searching there if it then ignores results outside of your range and only returns a match inside your range? It's basically building a function that accomplishes what you want. Why would you care if the process includes finding and rejecting image matches until it finds one in the range?
