A certain program blocks AHK hotkeys

17 Dec 2017, 06:33

AHK defined hotkeys are blocked from functioning at all when a certain program, say aaa.exe, is in the foreground.

However, when aaa.exe loses focus, i.e. sent to the background, hotkeys defined by AHK become fully functional again.

I am not quite sure but it appears that aaa.exe is somehow blocking automation, when it is in an active state.

How do I make AHK functional at all times, regardless of the focus of aaa.exe?

FYI, I am using Windows 10.

Help would be appreciated.

I ran into that problem with the Task Manager on Windows 10. I used the hotkey Win+D to lower everything (show desktop) then brought back what I wanted. Usually any Windows system key combo will override the "override".

EDIT:
I was wrong. Sorry about that. Win+D doesn't work anymore.
