Hi!
I am considering to share a tool I created. Therefore I want to export it as an .exe file to make it more accessible for different users. Is there a way to encrypt the source code so that it cannot be (easily) reverse engineered? The standard .exe only needs to be opened with a text editor and the original (although unformatted) .ahk source code can be found (in the end of the file).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers!

Asked and answered many times before. Try doing a search for terms like 'encrypt source'.

Thanks for the keywords guys, sorry I didn't find it before.
I would now remove this post if I could, as I see how it doesn't contribute to the community.

We’ll have you tried obfuscation?

Re: AHK -> EXE: Encrypt source code?
Well, it seems the obfuscation tool many referred to in other posts seems broken (and hard to use in the first place). Manual obfuscation seems pointless without putting a lot of effort in it. I might go for using mpress and/or other tools to compress the exe to avoid standard users to find the source code.

So, just for the records (for the band of AHK brothers who want to fix it) ...
