Hey there.
Today i compiled my script "ALttp.ahk". After this, i wanted a custom icon for this script. The name of the compiled Script was "ALttp.exe".
I started Ahk2Exe and choosed my ALttp.ahk and for the *.exe destination the Desktop. I named it ALttp.exe.
I choosed my ico "1.ico" and pressed "Convert".
The final Script had still the green H icon.
After some tests, i choosed to change the destination name and icon. So i become "Test.exe" with "2.ico" and it worked.
Now i tried to save the "ALttp.ahk" to "Test.exe" with "1.ico" and still i got the "2.ico" on the exe.
Then i converted it to "Tist.exe" with "1.ico" and it worked finally. I renamed "Tist.exe" to "ALttp.exe" and suddenly the icon changed to the green H. I renamed the *.exe to "Test.exe" and it becomes "2.ico".
All other changes to names, i didnt convert it has still 1.ico as its icon.
I tried to make a new *.ahk, but it still remembers the Icons.
When i convert it to another location it works fine, but when i move it to the desktop again, it changes immediately the icon back.
How can i delete the "Memorys" of the wronge converts from the *.exe?
Sure, i could easily change the name to somewhat i didnt convert, but i want the "ALttp.exe" name.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Icon change with name, any fix?
Hi,
Maybe you can post the code here?
It can be that there is some icon location defined inside of the code.
Normally I've never had any issues assigning an icon in the compiler.

Re: Icon change with name, any fix?
The code just open 3 programs and 3 websites, nothing more. Simple 6 run lines.
Re: Icon change with name, any fix?
The actual icon will have changed, but windows is still showing the old icon from a cache.
To fix, log out then back in, or (slower) reboot the machine.
