MButton event not recognized

18 Feb 2018, 08:30

Hello all,

I used to use AutoHotKey to remap the middle mouse button as a doubleclick of the left mouse button, like so:

MButton::Click, 2

However, now it seems that the middle mouse button (wheel button) is never recognized for some strange reason. It's a standard HP mouse on vanilla Windows 8.1. Mouse wheel does scroll windows. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I just tested on 1.26 and on 1.28 (latest) - works just fine. Try running it as admin, and if doesn't help - check key history, if anything happens in first place? Or is there anything else in the script, that may affect the hotkey? #if perhaps?

Actually it was a hardware issue after all, sorry. The crap HP mouse must have been manufactured faulty, like so much of their other hardware; using a different mouse works.
