Use across multiple applications

Only discovered this application today so I have a simple question

I am looking for something which will support the replication of a simple set of steps moving through a GUI of multiple broadband router that will allow me to capture my unit names and passwords as I go and transfer them to Excel

So basically, from my initial and brief understanding I think I can move through the required steps in the GUI of the routers but can I use Autohotkey to step into a field in the GUI, copy the reference in that field, move to Excel and paste the reference the return to the GUI and repeat for the next field before returning once more and completing the required processes within the GUI?
