Foolishly I have a script (that I've been using for years) that is now exceeding a 4gb variable size. Yes I'm doing ti wrong, but there's a good bit of time in re-coding it. Is there a version of AHK or a way I can persuade it to accommodate a larger variable?

You can probably use VarSetCapacity. You will also need to use a 64 bit version of AHK.
