Forgive me if this isn't what you mean, but can you just use http://pdf2png.com/?

Xpdf has various command-line tools, including pdftopng.exe. I haven't tested pdftopng.exe, or if I did, I don't recall if it worked well, but I do know that pdftotext.exe and pdfinfo.exe are great for example.

Fair enough, and if I hadn't been totally out of it this morning I actually would have given the same answer as jeeswg; I totally forgot that I use pdftotext in one of my scripts. ^^;;
