VMware resists remaped hotkeys Alt+Tab

I remap Alt + Tab to Ctrl + 0 using AHK script and it is not possible to switch tabs with different virtualized systems. in VMware Workstation using this shortcut while in other Win apps it works fine. Sometimes it works for one or to tab switch, but then stops. What is in VMware Workstation that it cause such a inconsisten behaviour? How to fix this?

This is by design with remote desktop type apps, so they can pass the keystrokes through to the guest OS. In my experience, the only key that the host OS can see is the mouse wheel.
