Together lets create a 'Boost' Library for AutoHotkey.
Post universally useful, fast and efficient code. MCode is good too.

'Boost' Library for AutoHotkey is some kind of testing polygon before code moves to ASPDM?

Re: [Library] Boost-ahk : Boost Library for AutoHotkey
Naw!!! Just ... I guess like a standardized library of functions ?
Like a home for 'lone' functions... like a collection of functions that are not full libraries
Snippets?

Re: [Library] Boost-ahk : Boost Library for AutoHotkey
Hmm. Interesting idea joedf .. Can you add more details to that README.md ? about what are the categories of functions that should be built, function naming conventions, some sample functions in the script files ..
Re: [Library] Boost-ahk : Boost Library for AutoHotkey
Here are some ideas for the categories: http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/

lol I can't be bothered to join. I just think its funny that you would knowingly choose to exclude potential contributors for no good reason
Re: [Library] Boost-ahk : Boost Library for AutoHotkey
It's called "fork and pull request".

Re: [Library] Boost-ahk : Boost Library for AutoHotkey
Perhaps we have a misunderstanding...fincs wrote:It's called "fork and pull request".
I'm not talking about issuing pull requests. I cannot even view any of the source on github. Seems ridiculous to require me to join the ahkscript group just to view the library.
Re: [Library] Boost-ahk : Boost Library for AutoHotkey
What do you mean? It's completely public and open! No login required..

Re: [Library] Boost-ahk : Boost Library for AutoHotkey
Heh well then I'm stupid because when I try to view the source I can't see anything
Re: [Library] Boost-ahk : Boost Library for AutoHotkey
All public repositories at github can be accessed by anyone. You can view the source code or download it.guest3456 wrote:Heh well then I'm stupid because when I try to view the source I can't see anything

Re: [Library] Boost-ahk : Boost Library for AutoHotkey
Ahhhh I see, the files are actually empty right now!

Re: [Library] Boost-ahk : Boost Library for AutoHotkey
Yes, BTW all the source files (Arrray.ahk, Math.ahk, String.ahk) are blank currently. Maybe that's the problem here.vasili111 wrote:All public repositories at github can be accessed by anyone. Re: [Library] Boost-ahk : Boost Library for AutoHotkey
Lol that explains it. I thought you used some github permissions to restrict access

Re: [Library] Boost-ahk : Boost Library for AutoHotkey
@joedf, is there sometwhere that explains what these functions can be used for? I'm in the process of searching for new things to implement / add to my AHK, and I'm not sure what I could use this library for? I found this, but the descriptions are high level...

Re: [Library] Boost-ahk : Boost Library for AutoHotkey
Well the idea was to compile the popular libraries for common tasks and standardize the function/class names into one large library collection like Boost-C++... haven't invested any time into it.
