This program I made allows you to toggle you monitor seetings on the go. I initally made it so that i could change lower my monitor resolution and increase my refresh rate but you could probably do a bit more with it.
By defaults Win+c will toggle between
1600x900 @60Hz and 1280x1024 @75Hz
