How to implement random delay in pulover's macro creator?

So in pulover there is an icon called pause which lets you add a pause. When you open the pause menu there is an option called random delay which lets you choose a time range. In the window where you can see the parts of the macro it assigns the lower limit of the range to the 'delay' attribute and the upper limit to the 'control' attribute. When I try to implement a random delay in my macro it just uses the lower limit of the range for delay. Can someone explain how it all works?
