Any Postmessage - sendmessage winapi pros here? Topic is solved

Is it possible for me to build a program that will tell me what programs are trying to use sendmessage or postmessage to communicate with it?

So far my research said its impossible, someone said you must hook winapi? Others said you need kernel access?

I did discover that programs can block messages? Does that program know who sent the message?

I think I provided enough information for someone here to set me straight on this.
