Write to hardware register

12 Dec 2018, 01:42

I want to see if I can write to the hardware register so I can use a watchtdog timer function built into the BIOS of the PC's I'm using (Nexcom - windows 10 based PC). The watchdog timer is a function of the hardware that detects when Windows is locked up, as in a loop, and not responding. The idea is that you reset a timer every xxx minutes and if the timer gets to zero then the BIOS will reboot the PC. I just don't know how I could do this with AHK. The manual talks about writing bits to specific hardware registers - I'm afraid its beyond my technical knowledge. Anyone have any ideas?
The manual's instructions are on the last 2 pages here:-
