Lost User Data
It seems that the user date have been purged, as all topics appear as read and my notification icon disappeared, for a notification I have not read yet. Is this because of the planned downtime ?

Not sure I understand where you're asking or implying. However the expected downtime is for Network upgrades and would not have anything to do with data

Perhaps you triggered the "Mark topics read" button accidentally... at least I didn' t observe anything special now or at the time of your post.

I had one of these that disappeared 
, at the same time as all threads was marked as read.
I am fairly sure that I did not click this notification and mark all threads as read, in a drunken stupor, or while unconscious.
