Yes, if you look here. It seems we have a lot of bots...

@joedf the forums are snappy again after your tweaks, but I would guess something is still going on as the guest visitor number hovers around 1000. For reference AHKs Reddit page has 23 users online, and Python subreddit has 86.

Our caching ratio is a bit low for my taste so I've tweaked those a bit. I've set the security level to High instead of under attack. Let's see how that goes for a bit. :+1:

EDIT (4PM EST): I think we're good now.

Yes, I think it could be some kind of dos attack or just a sudden burst of traffic...

I've turned on Under Attack mode for now and ow it's very fast for me... I will try to have a look later.

Yes, super slow again. I noticed that at the same time the user count on the main page is slowly increasing:

It seems quite suspicious, there's no way we have so many real visitors. Are we being DDOS-d? Or is there some kind of problem with the server not letting go of logins and querying them for something over and over again?

Hello, I had about half an hour with good response times today. Then the forum suddenly became nearly unusable. That's very annoying.
Maybe we need professional help to analyze the problem?

@joedf the forums have been fast after the DB CPU upgrade, perhaps it's time to turn off Cloudflare "under attack" mode? It's preventing programmatic access to the page (eg querying version.txt), and one Linux user reported not being able to access the forums because of it.

I've rebooted the DB server yet again. I think we may need to upgrade our db server.
I've also turned on Under Attack mode, and it's very fast for me.

Super slow in the Seattle area. That has been the case periodically for several weeks.

Yes it was for me, then it went completely down. I did and reboot and notified tank. maybe ~1hr later, the forum is back up.
