Does Scite's .properties have an option to not display suffix names?
That is, the suffix name of the file is not displayed on the tab page.
There are too many open files. This suffix takes up too much space.
Can Scite's tab page not display file extensions?
Re: Can Scite's tab page not display file extensions?
No, there is no property for this.
It might be possible to rename the tab via tab control messages, but it would be overridden every time something happens that might affect a tab name. (SciTE recalculates all of the tab names whenever it updates the Tabs/Buffers menu, which happens due to various events, such as a file being flagged as modified or read-only, a new tab opening, etc.)
